Three Ways to Give a Beer Lover a Merry Christmas

I don’t want a lot for Christmas,

There is just one thing I drink.

I don’t care about the spirits,

Or the wine as glasses clink.

I just want to crack a tin,

Feel the cool can on my chin.

Give me Christmas cheer,

All I want for Christmas… is beer!

I think I speak on behalf of craft beer lovers all over Australia when I say: the last thing we need is more stuff.

We don’t need any more kitchen gadgets or BBQ aprons or novelty candles that’ll never get used. We don’t need anything else cluttering up the garage, and we definitely don’t want decorative things we feel obliged to pull out every time you come over.

If you want a no-fail gift idea for a beer lover in your life, here’s the secret: it’s beer. Buy them a box of craft beer from an independent brewery, put a ribbon on it and stick it under the tree, and it’ll be their favourite present this year.

Here are three ways Only Craft Beer can make your Christmas shopping stress-free.

Say Merry Christmas with a Mixed Case

One of the greatest things about craft beer is the variety. Different flavours, different beer styles, different can designs… each beer is an exciting surprise in itself. It’s like unwrapping a new present every time you try a new beer.

Giving a mixed pack of 8, 12 or 24 beers from one of Australia’s independent breweries is like giving a whole bunch of gifts. You can build your own mixed pack, or select from the pre-selected cases available. Either way, you’ll be giving the gift of trying new things - and that’s a gift that craft beer lovers are always happy to receive.

Get the Whole Package with a Gift Pack

Of course the beer lover in your life will enjoy trying new beers. But if you also like the idea of giving something they can keep, then a gift pack is the best of both worlds. They’ll get to enjoy a bunch of new beers over the holidays, and keep flashing their brewery merch all year long.

Frenchies gift pack includes three beers chosen by the brewer as well as a branded Teku glass - perfect for enjoying the beers in style.

Want to go a little bigger? How about eight beers in a mix of styles delivered fresh from Devil’s Hollow Brewery in Dubbo, NSW, along with a cap and a stubbie cooler?

Or if you’re keen to go all out, Catchment Brewing in Brisbane has got you covered. A cap to cover the head. A stubbie cooler to cover the beer cans. And 24 beers covering Catchment’s entire core range and a special release sweet stout.

(Of course, you can always order some sneaky merch for yourself as well.)

Fill Their Fridge, Not Their Stocking

Here’s the thing about beer lovers: as a group, we’re easily pleased. That means you don’t have to overthink what presents to buy for us. Grab a carton of a smashable beer to set us up for a few summer sessions, and you’d better believe we’ll thank you for it.

Whether it’s fresh Tropical Pale Ale from Six Strings Brewing, a tart Mango Sour from Land & Sea in sunny Noosa, or a Freo Doctor Lager from Mash Brewing in Western Australia where they know how to beat the heat, you can’t go wrong with a carton of beer.

When you give the present to your favourite beer lover, let them know it got delivered direct from the brewery, so you know it’s tasting fresh. Let them know it’s from an independent brewery, so you’re supporting a local Australian business instead of an international corporation.

And let them know Only Craft Beer has plenty more where that came from.
