Ballistic Beer Co. is a multi-gold medal winning brewery based in Salisbury, Brisbane. Ballistic was voted Champion Large Brewery at the Qld Beer Awards in 2020. Since commencing production in 2017, Ballistic has expanded rapidly, now supplying venues from Cairns to Adelaide, as well as its own three venues in Brisbane.
Ballistic's growth has been the result of a focus on producing interesting yet balanced, highly drinkable beers. If you drink one and don't want to have another, then we have failed in our job. Ballistic has a core range of 5 beers, including the Oaked XPA, a 2 x Trophy winning beer.
Always available are our Mexican Hot Chocolate stout, Hawaiian Haze Pale Ale, Twang series of ever changing kettle sours and SHIPA series of single hop IPAs. Ballistic also releases 4 times a year, the Sleep When You're Dead range - super hoppy, super fresh IPAs that are only on shelf for a maximum of 8 weeks, to ensure you get the freshest, hoppiest beers we can deliver to you. You will never find a SWYD beer past its 8-week Dead-by date.
Based in Brisbane, QLD, Ballistic was conceived by two mates who played rugby together 20+ years ago in Hong Kong; One had built up QLD’s largest chain of Home Brew stores and the other held senior roles in the global financial services industry. From its first year of operation in 2017, Ballistic has grown to be an independent, multi-award-winning brewery.
Ballistic opened its first tap room to the public at the flagship Salisbury Brewery in April 2017. Since then, the company has opened another four venues, three of which have breweries attached. These venues spread up the east coast of QLD, located in Brisbane’s West End (minutes from Brisbane CBD), Springfield (30km south of Brisbane), Bundaberg (the centre of Australia’s rum business - 350km north of Brisbane) and Airlie Beach (Southern Great Barrier Reef – 1000km north of Brisbane).
Ballistic has gained a well-earned reputation for making approachable, innovative & well-balanced beers. After winning four gold medals just a few months after opening, Ballistic has gone on to win nearly 100 gold, silver and bronze medals at various national and international competitions. Ballistic has won three trophies as best beer in class, been named Champion Large Brewery, and this year, was awarded Champion Queensland Beer for its Coupe de Grace barrel-aged Stout.
